Unite My City event

Slightly different night on the bus. We went to Guthrie Green for the “Unite My City” event. We were able to meet lots of folks from different congregations, races, and backgrounds. Yet, all shared the same goal of a community being United AS ONE FOR HIS GLORY. We had two boys with us from the Tulsa Boys Home. As the evening winded down, some touching things happened. While talking with the Boys one of them says this.. “as much as I want a foster home if there was a baby who could take my place, I would let them have my spot”. This young man is almost 15 years old, he has been in the system since he was 2 years old. Wow. We Take so much for granted. This kid truly puts others before himself, regardless of what he has been through. We ended the night and this same young man prayed for all of us. His Prayer was powerful, heart wrenching and spot on for the evening. Thankful for the gentleman who brings these two boys out with us. They are such a blessing. Thankful for the Tulsa Boys Home and their willingness to serve all of these kids. Thankful for people who want to see change in their community. Thankful for Jesus who is the author of HOPE. Join us any Thursday night. The Lord is faithful and mighty to save.
