Lives Being Changed
Tonight was touching. But first, let me tell you about the phone call I received this morning. I spoke with Terry (a former prostitute and crack addict) who is now 5 months clean! After five months in a loving center for abused women etc, she is studying for her GED at the age of 45! She is on track to have her very own place to live very soon! She is so excited! She now has self worth! Her identity is in Christ!
Now for tonight. One of the highlights was seeing Fred! Fred got a job at Kentucky Fried Chicken and he was thrilled! Not only did they give him a job, but they also paid for a hotel room for him and his wife for two weeks! They also gave his buddy, Robert a job! So these two men who shared the same homeless camp are now employed. We have been ministering to them for months, and life is getting better for them. God is at work in their lives.
We encountered Quinn (29) again tonight. He has been on meth since the age of thirteen. He is tired and worn down, but He heard the truth tonight once again. Please pray for the truth to set him free from the enemy’s grasp! We gave him options to help him. He has to want it! We also met a very beautiful young lady named Harley. She has 2 young children whom she hasn’t seen in a year. She is also on meth. We offered her help as well, Lord willing she will call us tomorrow to make the decision to leave the streets. She was living in fear, constantly looking at her surroundings. Please pray for her to call us! We have the ability to place her in a facility for women who have been involved in sex trafficking.
Finally, there is a gentlemen named Harold whom I personally have been able to take with me to church for the past few months. We picked him up on the bus about nine months ago, and he gave his life to the Lord in my driveway about 6 months ago. He has been working with me on some projects I have going on. He has been looking for a job, and gets discouraged. He wants someone to give him a chance. Well tonight when we picked up our pizzas, I mentioned him to the mgr of little Caesars and he told me to bring him in for a interview this Sunday after church! So be praying. God is so faithful, folks. He does not ask us to be perfect, as only HIS SON was perfect! All he wants is for us to try to be obedient to HIS calling on our lives and HE will do the rest. He wants us to depend upon him! He is faithful 24/7, He is mighty to save us from our self destructive sin.
