The Little Things God Uses

How the Lord works! It never gets old waking up to texts like this. It really is the little things. We go out every week, and sometimes it feels like we don’t see much happening, then these messages come.

Often our hope is that people can stay in Tulsa and get the help they need, but sometimes family out of town is the best option. Family matters. One gentleman simply needed a ride to McAlester, an easy fix. Ministry doesn’t have to be complicated.

Another text came from a man we met on the streets months ago. After a 15-year prison sentence and 17 months of freedom, his girlfriend just had their first baby and they now have housing! The Lord sent just the right people last night. We were able to give many rides and intentionally invite people onto the bus, picking up two to ride with us and ministering to several others.

With cold weather moving in and many without shelter, we were able to get one gentleman who rode with us into a shelter. His name is Kelly, and he was very thankful. We’re grateful for the Be Heard movement and all they do, housing up to 250 people tonight.

Thank you to everyone who prays and supports this ministry. Please pray for those we met today to seek shelter over the next few days, freezing temperatures take many lives. Pray for the lost to be found in Jesus and for those struggling with mental illness to seek professional care.

One more thing, we met a man who uses his riding lawn mower as transportation. He needed a jumpstart, and we were able to help him with the bus. Count your blessings. Don’t take anything for granted. He reigns! Matthew 11:28–30
