Teenagers Ministering to Teenagers

Last night on the bus was..incredible. We had lots of teenagers serving with us! Teenagers from a wide variety of churches. So good to see! We hit the streets and almost immediately found some teenagers to minister to. That’s how the Lord works! Teenagers/young adults ministering to other teens! Powerful!

Next we met up with Tammy, she drinks alcohol, and struggles with drug addiction. She recently got into housing. She has 4 kids one in FL is a rapper, one in prison, one in Joplin, MO, one in the Army. She has a negative boyfriend. She explained that she has has been feeling a pull on her heart to go to church. She loves gospel singing. (She literally sang a little solo for us). We gave her a hygiene bag and our contact information. Lord willing she will be in church this Sunday.

We then encountered two more teens (Noah and Austin). Austin was a believer and recently had moved over by the police station (on 11th).  His friend recently had his scooter jacked by an 11th street bully. 11th street can be rough.

We also met (Brenda) struggling with health. She thinks she has colon cancer. She Has a husband Greg who also has cancer. She Was trying to get money for travel to Hillcrest. We offered her a ride. She refused. She is needing help with utilities. We advised her on the process of that. She was saved when she was 12. We gave her a hygiene bag and pizza. She was very thankful.

Also met (DJ) he needs an ID. We gave him our information so we can help him with this. He refused prayer.

We also met up with (Brittany ) she has a 13 year old daughter. She has 5k fine in McAlester, she does get assistance but not enough to take care of herself and pay a fine. She was with another individual (male). Please pray for them!

We met (Brandon) he has prior service military service. He struggles with some PTSD. He is having a transmission issue with his car. He was in the area bidding a job for his construction business. He Has a daughter. We gave him our information to get him set up with the Mighty Oaks program. It’s a great program for veterans with PTSD.

We met Dave Matthew (that was his real name). He lives in an apt at 15th and Memorial. Has had 6 cancer surgeries. Plays drums. Goes to church on the move. Retired. Owned a car dealership for 40 years.

We met also met Judith, she has two girls. She has been addicted to drugs for many years. She says “Her family has written her off and cast her out”.  She said the drugs help her feel good. Please pray for her to be delivered.

We also met (Jimmy).. he is scared to go back to church. He is in rough shape. He has been Addicted to one drug or another for over 20 years. He lives at 21st and Memorial with his ex Wife. He is Unsure of his salvation and is searching. We shared the Gospel with him. Wd dropped him off at his ex-wife’s place. Please pray that the Lord would do a work on his heart.

Please Pray for ALL of the above names. Each person has a unique story. Each of them desperately needs Christ in their lives! We all need Christ to be OUR LIVES. Please pray for the ones who profess to know Christ to follow him wholeheartedly. Please pray for the ones that don’t know Jesus to know HIM soon! Time is short. Life is uncertain. Eternity awaits!
