New Creation – David

How the Lord works! Last Saturday we teamed up with Fleet Feet to do a run with the ministry. There are all kinds of folks in the Downtown area while this run goes on. So a guy who is homeless walks by and one of our folks gives him some shirts, and he goes on his way. This happens often, folks come and go and we don’t know what the Lord is doing on hearts. We just try to love them right where they are in life. So last night he (David) calls and has some questions for us. He wanted to know if the ministry could help him get some work boots. He has a job lined up that requires steel toe boots. He requested used work boots, and was so humble while asking for them. We made arrangements to meet with him today, to get these basic necessities for a job. We got him new jeans, underwear, socks, and new boots. We met at the library, and he received much more than these basic needs, he received Salvation in Jesus Christ. HE confessed his sin before the Lord and made the most important decision of his life. He is no longer combating sin (alcohol) on his own strength, he now has Christ waging war on his behalf. He is now A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST! He has lost contact with his 18 year old son and 15 year old daughter. He has not seen them in 5 years. They live in Lawton. His alcohol abuse has severed nearly every relationship in his life. He stays at the day center along with his Fiancé. She is from Turkey. She is very intelligent and truly cares for David. She is sober, just struggles with the English language and culture. The Lord is working on her heart as well. The Lord is going to do an amazing work on this couple. HE already is! HE is still saving souls. HE is still setting the captives free. Thankful for folks who donate to this ministry. Lives are being transformed. This is just one example of where your investment goes. David will be working soon, he will be a success story. Please be praying for this couple! They are getting picked up for church tomorrow! Kaleo church is close to the Day Center! The senior pastor is picking them up! Incredible! God gets the glory! HE reigns! So Thankful!
