Two Brothers

Very touching night. We met two brothers (18,28 years old- the 18 year olds vehicle was broke down). The older brother and his wife came to help him. We were able to talk to them about life. They explained their dad passed away 6 years ago.  They were 11, and 21 at the time. The younger one went to live with his mom. She is a drug addict whose house has been a trap house for 30 years. There is constant drug use going on in the home. Last year the young man got involved with meth and dropped out of school, leaving a full ride basketball scholarship behind. He stated that he was saved at 15 and later was baptized. He explained that it felt like “he got out of the baptistery and jumped right back into the mud”. Wow! Such a profound statement! Isn’t this the story with all our messy lives ? We constantly fall short to what God did for us. We feel unworthy of the vocation to which we have been called. We mess up daily. And the list goes on…The good news is that as Christians we worship a loving/living SAVIOR, who has redeemed us at a cost that WE CANNOT PAY, we will never add up, this is where CHRIST comes in to constantly change us. HE paid with HIS perfect life a brutal death that we may live! HE conquered death by raising from the dead! HE will fine tune us for HIS glory. OUR SIN runs deep but HIS GRACE runs more! It is about constantly seeking HIM and letting HIM mold us, making us into who he wants is to be. Yes, we will fall, it is about getting back up, asking for forgiveness, and Seeking HIS WILL. The Lord will do the rest. Thankful for so many opportunities to love people last night. Thankful for being able to give out bibles in a country that still allows it! Thankful for all who came out to serve last night! Thankful for a lady (Crystal) who came out along with her 13 year old son. It was their first time with us. Thankful for her military service in this GREAT NATION! Thankful to all who support this ministry! Thankful for all who pray without ceasing for us! Bless you !
