Divine Appointment

How the Lord works!! So we go out last night on the streets of Tulsa. We encountered all kinds of folks. Lots of folks were fed. Lots of folks were given the gospel. Lots of folks were prayed for. We met some really awesome folks. Yet, nothing compares to what happened on top of the bus. Here we go!!! So we have these teenagers who come out with us every week (they were both saved on the bus). They both struggle in school with their grades, and some anger issues. Their families never made it past the 9th grade education level. We always stress the importance of education and applying yourself to tasks at hand. They constantly tell us that the teachers do not care. We constantly tell them that they do care, but they want you to show interest in learning. We explain that they need to go to them and apologize for disrupting their class, and tell them you want to learn. The teachers will love it! It will encourage them as well! So here is where the divine appointment happened! We had two ladies who joined us last night on the bus. These ladies HAVE NEVER been on the bus with us before. These ladies sat with these 3 teenagers up top all evening. These ladies poured life into these young men. They encouraged them all evening.  It also turns out that one of the teens is from the same small town in Arkansas as one of these ladies!!  Coincidence? I think not! It gets better!!! Guess what these ladies do for a living! They are school teachers !! They offered to Tudor them every week to get them up to par!!  Wow!
It gets better! We always end the evening with prayer, usually at the home of one of these teens. One of our guys begins to pray and says the families last name during the prayer….and one of the teachers begins to cry. She tells us that the last name is the same one that has been stuck in her mind for the past 2 days. She knows why now!! The Lord orchestrated all of this for HIS glory, HE uses people to do HIS work!! HE is the author of HOPE! Thankful for all who donated the apples, pizza, the deserts, the candy, bibles, the hygiene packs and everything else! The Lord provides! Thankful for all who came out last night! Thankful for those teachers who truly care!! Oh I almost forgot the guy who gladly received some Pizza on a motorcycle at a stoplight!! True story! Bless you!
