Shawn & Summer
Mandatory shout out for how the Lord works!! He has transformed Shawn Wilde and his wife Summer! We met Summer almost a year ago at 11th and Garnett, she was in a rough spot in life. She had lots of Sin (just like all of us) and was a broken woman. About 3 months later we met her boyfriend Shawn. He was broken as well, their relationship was hanging on by threads (years of gang banging, drugs, and much more had taken its toll on him/them (see picture of him sleeping in my truck). Yet, he got on the bus with us one evening and cried out for Jesus to to be his Lord and Savior! He surrendered his sin to the ONLY ONE who has the power to save us from ourselves. He was made NEW that night, and his life has not been the same since. Around this same time Summer (while incarcerated) made the same decision to make Jesus her Lord as well! They are both now 9 months sober!! They have been married 6 months!! They both are employed. He has custody of his kids! They both are desiring to please the Lord and striving to serve the Lord wholeheartedly each day!! God is on the throne and is mighty to save!! Tell the world HIS GOOD NEWS, he still transforms sinners everyday !!! Join us on the bus Thursday nights! You will see the Lord move on hearts!
